Calling abroad
With our prepaid phone cards you get great rates when making local calls in Iceland, but of course most of us need to phone home every once in a while. Check out our international calling rates.
Coverage and Roaming
Staying connected in Iceland is easy with Vodafone. We offer extensive 3G coverage in the capital area and in some of Iceland's most populated areas. Outside of those areas we've got GPRS/EDGE coverage, so you will no doubt be able to check your e-mail compulsively when travelling around Iceland (if that's what makes you tick, that is. Of course, some of us are content with reading our daily dose of knitting blogs).
When using your Icelandic Prepaid number abroad, roaming charges will apply. To get further information on the roaming charge rate of your destination call 1414 in Iceland.
Vodafone locations and resellers
The Vodafone starter pack is offered onboard Iceland Express flights to the country, at the duty-free shop in the arrival and departure halls at Keflavík International Airport, and on board Smyril Line's NorrönaIf you're already in the country you can get your starter pack at the the Vodafone stores in Reykjavík (Kringlan Mall and Skútuvogur 2), Kópavogur (Smáralind Mall) or Akureyri (Glerártorg Mall). Stop by and we'll help you find the ideal mobile solution for you while travelling in Iceland!
There's more! We've got resellers all over Iceland (see list of reseller's locations in Icelandic), you can look for the 10-11 chain, or purchase a starter pack at one of the petrol stations of N1, Shell or Olís. Also a lot of hotels, tourist information centres and tourist boutiques such as 66° North and Cintamani sell our prepaid starter kits.
