3G Internet via your 3G phone
Sometimes the phone just isn't big enough and we need to fire up the good old laptop and go online. 3G is a great option to connect your computer when out and about. Most 3G phones can be used as modems for computers and therefore you can use your prepaid Vodafone mobile number to go online. Click here to see a map of Vodafone‘s 3G coverage.
Using Vodafone‘s prepaid plan, when you go online on your mobile phone you pay 90 ISK per day for 5 MB of data. If you exceed those 5 MB in one day, another 90 ISK is withdrawn from your account and you are good for another 5 MB of data transfer.
But if you plan to use your phone for e-mail, web surfing or other services that use date transfers regularly, you'll get a much better deal by purchasing a data pack for your phone.
